Kenosha, WI: Jelly Belly Visitor's Center

One of the most visited attractions in Kenosha, Wisconsin is the Jelly Belly Visitor's Center featuring a free warehouse tour, Jelly Belly Candy Store, and a Jelly Belly Snack Bar.  The warehouse tour is quite well-known, attracts large crowds and is highlighted by a fun choo-choo ride!
Jelly Belly in Kenosha, Wisconsin
We ate lots of Jelly Belly's including some "fun" flavors such as: "baby wipes," "boogers," "canned dog food," "barf," and "skunk spray" among several other quite entertaining flavors!

Entering the warehouse was very festive for the holidays
Prior to filling up on Jelly Belly's we took the warehouse tour.  We arrived at the Jelly Belly Visitor's Center right as they opened and were able to start the warehouse tour almost immediately (the tour is free by the way).  I'd recommend doing the same as they are famous for very long lines and waits (they have signs posted outside indicating waits of over 1 hour); arriving as they open helps alleviate that wait.
Inside the Jelly Belly warehouse
The tour is via a "choo-choo" as our son calls them that travels around the Jelly Belly warehouse where you stop at several video stations telling the history of the Jelly Belly, how they are made, and all the crazy flavors they are now offering.  It is not a factory tour - you do not actually see Jelly Belly's as they are made - rather you watch on video monitors in elaborately themed stations the story of Jelly Belly.

Train rides are always popular with our family!
As its an FDA regulated facility we were not able to take photos once the tour started, but it was a very colorful & well decorated facility that kept our toddler entertained (though anything involving a train usually does)!
Entrance to the Jelly Belly Store
They stocked every Jelly Belly product imaginable!
After the tour we were given a free bag of Jelly Belly's and then headed to the Jelly Belly Candy Store where we proceeded to sample more Jelly Belly's and buy a ton to many.  They have just about every Jelly Belly piece of merchandise I could imagine exists, as well as every Jelly Belly candy the company makes, including the bag of root beer Jelly Belly's we bought.
The sample bar...and yes we tried all those yucky flavors (most were quite good)
The have a sample bar where you can sample any type of Jelly Belly made, which we did (including all the crazy flavors I mentioned above).  Surprisingly the "baby wipes" tasted quite good - though smelled exactly like baby wipes!
Eating more Jelly Belly's!
After shopping and eating our way through everything Jelly Belly had to offer it was time to head of to explore more of Kenosha, now equipped with a toddler on a sugar high :)

  1. I LOVE Jelly Belly's! I have tried some of those weird flavors. It's amazing how they get it to taste like that. I think I might need to go to Kenosha...who knew!

  2. You are never too old for Jelly Belly's! When I was a kid I was a member of their little club, I remember getting new test flavors in the mail before their general release. Like Dr Pepper, which went on to become a permanent flavor.

    1. Thanks for commenting Derek! Dr. Pepper I learned is one of their most popular flavors.

I'm voting for "baby wipes" to become permanent :)
